Biomedical Engineer

A biomedical engineer designs biomedical equipment and devices to help diagnose and treat medical problems. This profession includes the roles of BMETs (biomedical engineering technicians), who configure, test and maintain the equipment in a hospital, and clinical engineers, who oversee the practical implementation of the equipment, supervise BMETs and advise equipment manufacturers on design improvements.
