An urban planner, also known as town planner or city planner, decides and implements how land and space is used in towns and cities, in order to create a pleasant environment with efficient infrastructure. In planning land use, they must consider economics, politics, social issues and the environment, including effects on air and water. They may plan new developments on open land, or revitalise existing areas. Discover what it’s like to be an urban planner below!
